Household Chemical Collections

Important Message from the City of Tampa Solid Waste Department:
The City of Tampa’s Department of Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management is excited to announce a new venue for our Biannual Household Chemical and Electronics Collections!
 
In an effort to streamline the drop off process and decrease customer wait time, we have chosen a larger, more convenient site for you to drop off your hazardous waste and electronics which is at the
Vacant parking lot on the South side of Bird Street (exit I-275 N @ Bird Street). 
             


CITY OF TAMPA

HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL &
ELECTRONICS
COLLECTION

Held twice a year on the last Saturday
 in April and October.

Saturday, October 24, 2009
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
In the Vacant parking lot on the South side of Bird Street (exit I-275 N @ Bird Street)

 Materials accepted include:

*Paints and solvents
*Used motor oil
*Automotive products
*Pool chemicals
*Mercury containing devices, such as
 fluorescent light bulbs & thermometers
*Lawn, garden and household chemicals
*Electronics, including computer monitors,
 printers, CPU’s, keyboards, and televisions

 NO EXPLOSIVE, RADIOACTIVE OR BIO-MEDICAL WASTES ACCEPTED

 RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLD
WASTE ONLY

one quarter mile north of I-4 exit 10
