Air Management
About Us

The Air Management Division is responsible for protecting the environment and the health and safety of the public as they relate to air quality issues. To accomplish this, the Division regulates various sources of air pollution to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Potential pollution sources include but are not limited to industrial factories, power plants, dry cleaners, and a variety of other activities that generate asbestos, noise, dust, and open burning.

In addition to permitting and monitoring the above pollution sources, the Division also investigates citizen complaints, conducts special studies on airborne toxins, and collects and analyzes ambient air quality data through the operation of air sampling equipment located throughout Hillsborough County.
