Please be aware the second public workshop regarding proposed rule revisions to Chapter 1-7, Waste Management Rule scheduled for August 29 is postponed due to weather. The second workshop is rescheduled to Tuesday September 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., via the Webex on-line/virtual platform. The proposed rule amendments are designed to provide greater clarification and specificity to EPC rule requirements associated with the management of solid waste and sites impacted by solid waste. The purpose of the proposed rule revision is also to update and correct specific references to State rules. The proposed rule will be presented to the Commissioners for consideration in September 2023. The EPC already conduced one workshop on August 17, 2023.

Written comments may be submitted to epcinfo@epchc.org for consideration by September 8, 2023, if you are unable to attend a session or have comments or concerns you wish to submit. EPC Rules only become final after a public hearing conducted by the Commission, which is scheduled for September 21, 2022.
