EPC staff will conduct a public workshop regarding proposed rule revisions to Chapter 1-7, Waste Management Rule on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., via the Webex online/virtual platform. The proposed rule amendments are designed to provide greater clarification and specificity to EPC rule requirements associated with the management of solid waste and sites impacted by solid waste.  The purpose of the proposed rule revision is also to update and correct specific references to State rules.  The proposed rule will be presented to the Commissioners for consideration in September 2023. The EPC already conducted one workshop on August 17, 2023.

EPC Rules only become final after a public hearing conducted by the Commission, which is scheduled to be held on September 21, 2022.
