Resiliency
Resiliency, also called climate adaptation, involves adapting to the impacts of climate change and climate stressors such as extreme weather and sea level rise. Building a resilient community requires taking action to reduce the effects of climate stressors which includes changing the way we use our resources, and how we plan and develop communities now and in the future. Forward thinking and adapting to rising sea levels and other climate stressors is crucial in protecting the future of our community, environment and economy.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” —Jane Goodall
