The EPC’s Petroleum Cleanup Section administers the Petroleum Restoration Program under contract with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The goal of the program is to ensure that sites contaminated with petroleum products are cleaned in order to protect our drinking water supplies and return those sites to their full potential value. Under this contract, the county provides technical and fiscal oversight of the site assessment and remediation.

Technical oversight and support is also provided to other intra- and inter-division programs. These include industrial permitting, solid and hazardous waste site assessment and rehabilitation and Director’s Authorization reviews.
