Our chemistry laboratory is located in the Water Management Division. Most chemical analyses are performed for our Water Quality Monitoring Program. Atmospheric analyses are performed for the Air Management Division. Samples are also analyzed in support of domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plant monitoring programs. Sediment chemical analysis for our Biological Monitoring Program and analyses for outside agencies are performed as needed.

We have received NELAP accreditation (#E44057) for CWA – General Chemistry, Metals, Nutrients and Microbiology. We have maintained state environmental laboratory certification since that program’s inception. We also provide technical support as necessary to other divisions, local, state and federal agencies in the evaluation of environmental impacts.
