In addition to the forms and applications below, more can be found at EPC Forms and Applications page. A pre-application meeting can be scheduled at your convenience.

Wetland Delineations

Do you need the wetland boundaries identified on your property? If so, please complete a Wetland Delineation Application.

Please be advised, wetland and other surface water boundary delineations accepted by the EPC may be subject to future State agency review prior to being accepted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection or the Southwest Florida Water Management District.  There is the potential that EPC lines may not be accepted by these State agencies and could be subject to future modification by the State agencies.  The delineation of the boundary will be based on the same wetland or other surface water methodology adopted in Section 62-340, Florida Administrative Code.

Docks, Seawalls, and Other Activities in Wetlands

Are you proposing construction activities in wetlands or water bodies of Hillsborough County, excluding tidally influenced, Lake Keystone, and Lake Thonotosassa? If so, please complete a Miscellaneous Activities in Wetlands Application.

Are you proposing construction activities in tidally influenced waterbodies, Lake Keystone, or Lake Thonotosassa? If so, please complete a Minor Work Permit Application.

Please be advised: The EPC is charged with implementing the Tampa Port Authority (TPA) Minor Work Permit (MWP) program.  The TPA has provided guidance to the EPC that floating vessel platforms (FVP) installed in Hillsborough County are subject to the regulations of the TPA.  Thus, the FVP exemption in section 403.813(1)(s), Florida Statutes does not pre-empt the TPA (or the EPC implementing TPA rules) from requiring authorization for FVPs. In addition, floating docks and platforms, personal watercraft (pwc) lifts, canopy covers, and any other construction activities on, over, or above wetlands and/or surface waters require review by the Wetlands Management Division.

Do you need to remove nuisance vegetation in a wetland? If so, please complete an Application for Nuisance Vegetation Removal in Wetlands.

EPC encourages property owners to use environmentally beneficial methods to prevent shoreline erosion. You can learn more about living shorelines and explore example projects by visiting Florida Living Shorelines.

Exempt Activities

Are you proposing exempt activities including the following?

  • Development within artificially created ditches
  • Development within wholly owned artificially created wetlands (pond), less than 1 acre
  • Alterations to commercial fish ponds
  • Maintenance mangrove trimming

If so, please complete a Noticed Exemption Activities in Wetlands.

Mangroves

Are you proposing new mangrove trimming? If so, please complete an Application for Mangrove Trimming Permit.

Are you a professional mangrove trimmer that needs to register or renew your registration to trim mangroves in Hillsborough County? If so, please complete a Professional Mangrove Trimmer Registration/Renewal.
